Thanks for sharing this. It is a good reminder to just draw for the pure joy of it. I need more of that joy right now and it’s great to see your hand at play.
Hi, Joe – thanks so much. It’s probably the only effective meditation practice I have. And yeah, I certainly need more of that in my life right now! We all do.
Hi, Matilda – thank you. These are some of the better ones. But I don’t draw with any goal of making things great, and I really like taking the pressure off myself in sketchbooks.
I love that your casual doodles are still very clean. Do you prefer to approach these practices with a permanent media and commit to the line or is it just whatever marking tool is close at hand. I know that my reliance on digital media doesn't do my line commitment any favours and I often lay down light pencils before feeling like I can "finish" a real life sketch.
I love your hand drawing and can’t wait to see more! It reminds me of my university days when I had a sketchbook with me all the time. I will get back to that hobby soon.
This is my vibe. Performative art can be impressive but I need more sketches/doodles that make me feel grounded and connected to the spirit of drawing just to draw. 💜

Love these drawings!

I'd like to know this too, the shapes and lines are beautiful and confident. Are there any light pencil under drawings to establish shapes?
I just go for it with the pen. But I often go slowly. I like drawing this way and knowing that I don’t have any undos available!

I dropped the sketchbook habit for about ten years and I don’t know why! So glad I came back to it a couple of years ago.
Yes! It is always inspiring to see your work. Whether digital or traditional, it reminds me of how much I love drawing.
Thanks, Paul. Yes, drawing is such a good friend to me and always will be!
Wonderful work as always Kyle.
Hi, Laura — thanks very much! Hugs from Heidelberg!
